I provide a small –scale family childcare but with the extra addition of a homelike environment. I am different from a childcare centre or nursery because I am limited in the number of children that I can care for at any one given time. By staying small I am able to provide the quality care and nurturing atmosphere that your child deserves.

Children are also taken to visit local parent & toddler groups to give them the opportunity for social interaction with a larger group of children.

Hippopots is the perfect way to prepare your child with the basic learning skills they will need before starting school.

My ethos is to provide a safe and happy place for children, where they can learn, grow and have fun. A place where parent’s know that they can safely leave their children and know that their child’s well being is paramount.

All children will be cared for in a stable, secure and loving environment - a real home-from-home, for them to be stimulated to learn at their own pace in a cheerful and caring atmosphere.

Hippopots Childminding Services is not a preschool, but I do offer an informal theme based preschool programme. Children participate in a full range of activities such as free play, cooking, outside play & weekly visits to see animals (zoo, Aquarium, Staunton Animal Park),  stories, dramatic play, creative arts, crafts, music and much more.

I believe children need to explore their skills through creative experimentation and being able to make a mess and mistakes, learning from them is one of the best ways.
